Last year I have the opportunity as a blogger to work with the company The Pencil Grip, Inc. and review their product Kwik Stix. Kwik Stix are tempura paint sticks.  They come in a twist up container- similar to a lipstick and dry quickly.  They are every parent’s dream because they truly keep the mess to a minimum.

Recently  The Pencil Grip, Inc. launched a new Thin Stix version of their product. They reached out and asked if we would be interested in doing a review. This was a no-brainer. Ever since doing our first review of Kwik Stix we have been BIG fans of the product.

Kwik Stix The Pencil Grip, Inc. Review

About Thin Stix

Thin Stix are similar to Kwik Stix in that they are still solid tempera paint sticks. They uncap and twist up like a lipstick. They are non-toxic, which is fantastic for those of us without eyes in the back of our heads and children who taste everything! They look like paint on the paper or painting medium. You don’t need brushes, smocks, and there is no mess. The colors are vibrant and the paint dries quickly- in less than 90 seconds.

So what is new and different about this version? To start these stix are thinner, allowing for more control. They are similar to chunky crayons in size. We used Thin Stix on a project my son created for his new kitten- a small house. The paint rolls nicely and evenly onto the wood. We have also used the tempura paint sticks for several other projects- feel free to pin! 😉

When we received the new Thin Stix arrived my son was so excited! We are such big fans of our Kwik Stix- they are in use quite often here. They last quite some time- both my son and daughter use them on a weekly basis. We also have given packs of Kwik Stix and Sketch Pads out as birthday gifts. They make excellent gifts!

Using Kwik Stix 12 pack from The Pencil Grip, Inc
My oldest son using Kwik Stix 12 pack from The Pencil Grip, Inc when we did our first review!

Honestly, we have always loved these stix and have been grateful for the opportunity to review them. They are quite fun to use. I have loved sitting down with the children and painting. The paint glides on the paper, and it totally messes free.
